Egyptian Cotton Towels For Sale At The Port Credit Boat Show

This year, purchase beautiful Egyptian cotton towels from CanEgy Import & Export, one of this year's new exhibitors at the Port Credit In-Water Boat Show.

According to Hazem of CanEgy, Egypt is King of the world cotton growers. The humid conditions combined with the rich soil  along the Nile River Valley create the perfect conditions to grow long cotton fibres - also known as staples. The long staple allows for more continous fibre used in creating threads or yarns.  While Egyptian yarn is smaller in diameter, it is stronger than other cottons.  Smaller yarn equals more threads per square inch creating a stronger fabric that is light weight and breathes well. Having a higher thread count means the fabric will be incredibly strong and will last for years.

Egyptian cotton towels are breathable, green friendly and are recommended for indoor and outdoor use. See Hazem's complete line of towels at CanEgy Import & Export | www.canegy.com

The Store - Mason's Chandlery - Exhibitor and Show Sponsor

The Store - Mason's Chandlery is a long time exhibitor of the Port Credit Boat Show as well as one of the show sponsors.  Each year, at the show, The Store features their own 'Scratch & Dent Tent'.

For sale under the grand tent are discontinued items; items with broken boxes; older electronics - and boat stuff that's just been hanging around. It's The Store's very own marine garage sale. Rummage through bins looking for that odd cleat you’re missing, or pick up some deals on older electronics. Bargains galore!

And if your own bilge is bulging and your lockers are filled to the brim, here's your chance to do some summer cleaning and turn your unwanted boating items into dollars while supporting local youth sailing initiatives. Bring all your stuff down to The Store’s CONSIGNMENT TENT at the Port Credit Boat Show!

The Store is the only marine chandlery to provide a venue for boaters to sell their no-longer-needed boat stuff for dollars.  They charge you a small fee to sell your stuff which is then donated to the local youth sailing programs.

Give The Store a call at 905-278-7005, or email info@thestoremasons.com, with your list of items that you want to sell and they’ll follow-up with instructions.  They charge you a small fee to sell your stuff which is then donated to the local youth sailing programs.

'Living The Dream' at the Port Credit Boat Show

Let’s face it - Ontario’s boating season is too short – 20 weeks if you push it, 3 months if you don’t.
Many of us dream about sailing the clear, turquoise waters of the Bahamas or Caribbean.  This year’s seminar speakers have done just that  -' Lived the Dream' and they will share their experiences with seasoned boaters and those who are just starting to dream.
From learning to sail, buying your first boat, taking the cruise, anchoring or heading the boat south for the winter or longer – the 2010 Port Credit- In-Water Boat Show has something for every boater. We have planned 19 seminars over the 3 day show.
Returning this year is seminar host, Rob MacLeod of Informedboater.com (pictured above with Show Manager Lori Mason and his wife Mary MacLeod) who has just returned from a year away with his wife Mary aboard their CS36 Sojourn. Rob will present an electronic navigation seminar and Mary will join him for a frank conversation about – ‘Living His Dream – Under Her Terms.’
Wally Moran joins us for a second year sharing his experiences about cruising down the Inter Coastal Waterway (ICW). Wally is a contributor to the Waterway Guide, SAIL Magazine and Ontario Sailor.
Ken Gillstrom of Voyageursailing.com and Katrina Lewis of Oceanwaters.ca will discuss learning to boat – power and sail. Both Ken and Katrina are boating instructors – basic, intermediate sail and power. Ken will talk about getting into boating (power and sail) and preventing emergencies on board. Katrina will expand the dream with a talk on learning to sail in the Caribbean.
And of course, long-time favourite,  Dusty Miller of Waterwaysontario.com will be back providing tips on handling your power boat.
To view the schedule visit www.portcreditboatshow.ca >Speakers Tent.
Join us August 27-29 at Port Credit Harbour Marina as The Port Credit In-Water Boat Show celebrates 20 years!
